Photographica Preview: 90s Compact Cameras You Shouldn't Ignore

8th June 2025

Your old cameras could be worth more than you think. These two little Yashica T-Series 35mm compact cameras are set to be auctioned on 12th June in our Photographica sale, each with an estimate of £150-£250, and our last limited-edition 'Safari' green example reaching £260 in December 2024.

There is increasing demand for 80's, 90's and early 00's pocket-sized 35mm cameras; particularly those with quality lenses such as the Carl Zeiss fitted Yashicas pictured. Size, technology and usability also being factors. While lower-end models price at appromximately £10 a piece, more desirable models such as the Olympus MJU series, Contax T-series, and Yashica T-series demand far higher prices.
